Which board and card games start with M?
Board-game examples include Monopoly, Mancala and Mastermind. Card-game examples include Memory, Mau Mau, Monopoly Deal, Munchkin, Magic: The Gathering and Mille Bornes. The equipment and the particular edition matter: Monopoly Deal uses cards, while the linked classic Monopoly edition uses a board.

Why “Mahjong card” needs a closer look
Traditional Mahjong uses tiles. The word card can also refer to a separately sold annual reference card, while paper playing-card versions of Mahjong equipment exist too. The National Mah Jongg League shop lists tiles, playing cards and an annual reference card as distinct products.
Mahjong Card Solitaire on this site is a specific single-player matching edition using playing cards. Its inclusion does not make every tile-based Mahjong game a card game, or mean that a traditional Mahjong ruleset applies to this browser puzzle.
Use the name list to choose your next action
For an offline game with a friend, compare the equipment and turn rules in the two-player guide. For a solo browser session, choose a solitaire by whether you want to pair visible cards, fill gaps or build foundations. Card-based puzzle and strategy editions also have their own category labels in the game grid; the shared letter does not make their rules identical.
