How to play Matrimony Solitaire
- The queen-of-diamonds foundation builds upward in suit, wrapping king to ace. The other seven foundations build downward in suit, wrapping ace to king.
- Move the top card of a tableau pile to a suitable foundation. Cards cannot move between tableau piles.
- Deal another row from the stock when no useful move remains. After the stock runs out, use the edition’s sequence of up to sixteen redeals to keep working toward all eight completed foundations.
A useful starting tip
Check every exposed card against the foundations before dealing, because tableau cards cannot be rearranged.
